Album Notes

J.D. Danner is a native New Yorker currently living in South Florida. After a brief gig in the corporate world, J.D. decided pantyhose and deadlines was not the life for her. So she burned the pantyhose, picked up her guitar and has been performing in South Florida as well as nationally ever since.

In 1998, J.D. released her debut CD titled, Stimulating Sacrifice and won local critical acclaim from the press along with a large fan base. Her lyrics hit on many different nerves and with a musical blend of rock and blues, she had an appeal to audiences across the board. J.D.'s vocal styles demonstrate strength and sensuality. There is intense passion in her live performance and J.D. shares that energy with her audience, always leaving them captivated and wanting to return for more. Her honest interaction with the audience makes everyone feel like they are part of the show.

After touring the southeast and New York City, J.D. decided her next project would be a Gospel CD. Since she is committed to giving back to the community with her music, Joyful Noise! was released in 2001 as a fundraiser project for her church.

In 2002, J.D. teamed up with Nashville producers Keith Ridenour and Dennis Blischak to record her new material. The three turned out to be a perfect combination of talents which is reflected in her third CD, Maybe It's Just Me... A mix of acoustic rock and ballads along with her trademark soulful lyrics, Maybe It's Just Me... is already getting rave reviews.

In keeping her commitment to community, J.D. has pledged a portion of the proceeds from the first single released off of Maybe It's Just Me... to BatteredWomen.com, a non-profit organization which aids battered women and children. The release of the song titled, Shelter From The Shame lead to the start of Project Shelter From The Shame, which is a fund-raising project including a music video now available for purchase on DVD.

J.D.'s gift for songwriting combined with her smokey vocal stylings and passionate live performance makes her an artist not to be missed. To promote her new CD, J.D. is planning to kick off her Almost Famous Tour in February 2005. Stay tuned at www.jddanner.com for details.
