Johnny was born in Glendale, California. He began "fooling around" with his Grandma's beatup upright piano at the ripe old age of two and has never looked back! His main love is, and always has been, the old standards. Sinatra, Bennett, Irving Berlin...you know the rest. At 13, Johnny moved to the San Fernando Valley area, where he joined the Musician's Union and became a studio musician. As his style developed, he spent more and more of his time playing the larger Vegas lounges and the Beverly Hills circuit as his love for a "live" audience was always very important to him.
"An Evening At Johnny's" is a very mellow and beautiful expression of Johnny's rare talent, and, it is his sincere hope that you find it enjoyable enough to look forward to his next project. For you technical types, Johnny's recording instrument of choice is the Kohler KD-140 Digital 4'7" Grande Ensemble. All sounds are Johnny alone with no multiple recording methods utilized. Have a great time at Johnny's place tonight!! And remember, if you like what you hear, don't forget to give us a good review down below! Coming soon: Light jazz with a latin flair.
