About JD PRIEST
Dynamic Singer/Songwriter/Musician JD PRIEST expresses himself with a unique contemporary flare and eloquent style. Taking a variety of musical influences from Rhythm & Blues, Soulful Rock, Jazz and Country, he blends them into a sound uniquely identifiable. His impassioned vocal stylings have earned him outstanding reviews from Music Connection Magazine, Global Muse, Press-Enterprise and LA’s Crown Magazine. Dana Point Herald calls JD PRIEST ”one of Southern California’s most promising acts”. In 2007 JD PRIEST releases CD “Falling Forward” as the follow up to his debut EP “Sum Of Soul” and is the second time JD has worked with Engineer/Producer Kelly McGuire (Bucksworth, Oso-Rey, Shoppy,). “All these tracks have a special magic that reflect our comfort working together and what started out to be just a few songs has now become a ten-song, musical biography giving testimony to the emotional struggle of a love-tormented soul,” says JD. He uses catchy melodies and hooks to communicate the depth of his writing. Concerts scheduled to promote the CD release include the 2007 Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival.
JD’s career began in the early 90s with the Americana/Roots group Acoustic Connection.
