Great Stuff
author: Chad Beauchaine
Josh is a friend so I started off a little biased, regardless, this is a GREAT album and I highly recommend it to any fan of World music and especially to all you trad head tune junkies out there. This album is as enjoyable as any trad recording I have in my vast collection. I tip my hat to Josh and the fine guest musicians that put together a wonderful recording!

The "feel good" album of the year
author: Matt Mulqueen
I'm pretty picky when it comes to music. Josh's CD was on in my car for a few weeks after I got it and is always in my iPOD's rotation. I remember when there were hushed whispers about a man from DC who, not previously acquainted with Irish music, had wandered into a session one night, loved the music, decided he'd learn to play, and was "really good all of the sudden." I finally met Josh at one of Dennis "Doc" Botzer's annual house parties and saw that, despite the short amount of time he'd been involved in Irish music, he understood it better than some who've been around it all their lives. This album is sure to be the first of many. Aside from just playing, Josh has begun chronicling music in the Maryland and Virginia areas and doing things that the rest of us have gotten up off our lazy Irish arses to do. Listening to and knowing Josh is an essential part of understanding the Irish music of NoVA, DC, and Baltimore.

Go On, The Duke!
author: Sean Earnest
Josh Dukes has been a huge influence on my music ever since I met him some years ago at the Swannanoa Gathering in Asheville, NC. His mastery of a handful of instruments makes him a force to be reckoned with. To say nothing of the fact that he spent countless hours producing this record himself! His flute playing is deeply mature and highly engaging. But for me especially it is his guitar playing that earns him a place among names like Arty McGlynn, Daithi Sproule, and John Blake.
