Album Notes

Jean Watson is a singer/songwriter/violinist who extended her talents into the recording world in 2003. She was born into a musical family and was conservatory-trained as a
classical violinist. She began her musical career playing in symphony
orchestras, freelancing, and teaching. She was also active as a church worship
leader which is where someone first suggested that she pursue vocal training as
well. She studied classical vocal technique on and off for years and enjoyed
singing both classical and contemporary music. In the fall of 2002, she recorded
her first CD using her skills as singer, violinist, keyboardist, and arranger.
She gave the CD's away as Christmas gifts, and the response to the recording was
so unanimously positive that people actually donated money to see Jean continue
to record. The recording seemed to elicit a strong emotional response in many
listeners as Jean transparently shared her heart through her music.

"Aireborne", Jean's first full-length recording, was completed in August, 2003.
This time, the content was up-beat praise and worship music, and the style more
in the "rock" genre. Since 2003,"Aireborne" has touched the lives of many people who describe Jean's voice as "healing" and "angelic". The songs are familiar, but Jean's interpretations are fresh and reflect her love of popular and classical music. Using her voice and violin, Jean communicates a message of hope and healing to her listeners.

Jean concertizes as a singer and a violinist throughout southwest Michigan and is active as a speaker/performer in churches both locally and nationally. She also continues to work as a church worship leader and as a private music teacher. Jean is currently working on a new CD, this time featuring songs that
she has written herself.

REVIEWS

I wish I had this voice
author: Bill Phillips
I bought this CD along with a bunch of other CDs of Michigan artist just to see whats playing around our state. They were all very good and I love them all, but this lady's voice resonates right from her heart, most of the tunes are cover songs, but you are not gonna find them more tastfully done. It's one of those CDs that takes you to another place. "A true heart of worship"

pure, beautiful, exquisite vocal color

We were just clicking around other artists in the vicinity of our CD and found Jean Watson's Airborne. We were blown away by the purity of vocal color, the heartfelt lyrics and the exquisite melodic lines. The song 'draw me close to you' is one of the most hauntingly beautiful things we've heard in a long time. Five-Star rating---without question.
