Judith Gennet of Green Man Reviews said of Jed\'s music, \"You can hear the Folk in the Celtic and the Celtic in the Folk!\"

Ireland\'s South East Radio said in its review of this album, \"Jed Marum has his genetic roots in County Kilkenny, Ireland. Those genes must come from a long line of bards and storytellers to judge from his recorded output. I have collected a number of albums from this troubadour and he never fails to deliver.\"

\"The featured CD also has a Celtic/Canadian flavour, although Jed Marum is not Canadian. The album, \"MILES FROM HOME\" was recorded at Paul Mill\'s studio, The Millstream in Toronto and using some very fine musicians with strong connections to the Borealis Label.\"

\"... I especially admire your songs drawn from the histories of ordinary people. I appreciate the sensitivity with which you retell their stories in their voices and the immediacy of time and place that you manage to convey in a few short verses. These are wonderful portraits.\"

\"... well worth listening to. It is not only going to be my \"featured\" album next show, but I think it is destined to be one of the Best of 2005.

I am a long time Brian McNeill fan and stumbled onto this Jed Marum CD while researching Brian's Celtic music. What a lucky break for me! Jed Marum is a fine songwriter and a great singer and Brian's work on the album adds so much. This CD has such a nice blend of Celtic and American folk styles, and a super bunch of songs!
