The playing on this album is all first rate. Period!
author: Tony Compton
The playing on this album is all first rate. Period! I'll start with the guitar. Slagg is outstanding. He demonstrates true electric virtuosity. His lead sections range from ripping, to bluesy, to beautifully melodic. All guitarists, I should think, will enjoy his work. This is particularly true of two personal favs "Every Time" and "Sweet Love" The bass playing is also quite good. The band is rounded out nicely by percussionist Ricky Rock. Who's drumming style is fluid and his drum sound on this album is perfect-deep and rich. I believe him to be a top notch drummer. In a way, it is a shame that the songs move along so quickly. They don't lend themselves well to a lot of fill work and that is a shame because what is there is truly tasty. This is the first release from the band, I think that this might just be a band to keep our eyes on.
