This is the best instrumental cd I've ever heard!!! It can provide everything from the "old" classical style of playing to the "new" modern day shredder in a heartbeat. He can show restraint when needed, but most of the time he just lets it "fly"...kinda like he's speaking through his guitar.I will recommend this cd to anyone!!!

'American virtuoso Jeff Beasley is not the most renowned name out there, at least not in association with music. After all, after 30 years as an active musician he has just now released his debut solo album. Jeff has has been busy establishing his presence through other avenues: teaching for the National Guitar Workshop, writing a monthly column for Musicians Hotline Magazine, a lengthy career as a guitar instructor, and his wide network of friends and professional associates.

Jeff’s debut CD “Tiebreaker” offers 10 tracks (total duration about 36 minutes), with a little assistance throughout from veterans Atma Anur (Jason Becker, Tony MacAlpine) and Doug Doppler (Favored Nations, Joe Satriani). Jeff’s style, while unostentatious, exudes a sense of controlled creativity that incorporates a wide range of techniques. His first track is an unusual fusion of neoclassical and traditional country influences. In successive tracks, Jeff confirms his mastery of the techniques that immortalized the likes of Steve Vai and Chet Atkins. Through the integration of diverse yet popular genres in tracks like “Spanish Cay”, “Into My Own”, and “Page Nine”, Jeff establishes a solid foundation as a performer.
