An artist of great renown in these parts (and beyond), Jeff Cosco celebrates the release of his new CD, and first proper solo effort, Something. While Cosco has strutted his vocal prowess with bands like Cheater, The Shakes, Red Heart, Times Square, Long Live Rock Show and more through the years, this highly-anticipated CD has been in the works for a while and will certainly please longtime fans.
Showcasing his singing range within a varied stew of rock 'n' roll, Cosco especially grabs the listener on tracks like the bluesy, Black Crowes-styled, "Cool Water," the inspirational, "I Believe," where he conjures the spirit of Journey's Steve Perry in his vocals, and on "Vivid Blue" and "When That Train Comes," where Cosco creates a couple perfect pop songs, all melodic and catchy for your pleasure! The sole cover, of Elton John's "Madman Across the Water," is performed in excellent fashion, with Cosco making it his own, as he often does with any cover he performs. Check out one of Rochester's most beloved artists!

Better than my memories!
author: Jim Riley
Knew Jeff in high school and the early days of Cheater. Pinged the internet once in a while looking for the Cheater EP to relive some memories and was blown away by what was available and what Jeff has accomplished. This album makes up for the 30 years since I left NY and last heard Cheater. Jeff was a great talent then as just a kid and has seasoned into a wide range pro. From the soulful "Cool Water" to the introspective and the upbeat. I love every track and can't wait for more!

author: mike scoppo
It isn't often these days that you find a CD with honest to goodness music that you can relate to and sing along with. This is a great example of that. The vocals are so clear and the music compliments them. I can't stop listening to it and recommend it to my friends.
