Album Notes
The Jeff Harrington Quartet is a Boston based group specializing in classic and contemporary jazz. The group is comprised of Jeff Harrington (saxophone), Steve Hunt (piano), Christian Fabian (acoustic bass) and Steve Michaud (drums)

Jeff Harrington (saxophone) has performed with jazz luminaries Kenwood Denard, Baron Brown, Makoto Ozone, Joe Hunt, Rachael Z, Teddy Kotick, George Schuller, Ricky Ford, Billy Hart, Arnie Lawrence, Kirk Lightsey, Mike Richmond, Milt Hinton, Danny Brubeck, Darius Brubeck, Billy Kilson, Vinny Gollia and Jimmy Guiffre including performances in Europe, the Caribbean, Los Angeles, the southwest US and throughout New England. In addition to Cosmic Motion Picture his recordings include One by the Reed Dieffenbach Quartet, So Tru by Tudy Sandhaus and Singer/Songwriter by Tony DiNucci, among others. A new quartet album, Emanation, is due out in 2007. He is also author of Blues Improvisation Complete (Berklee Press); Great Tenor Saxophone Solos, Vol. 1 & 2; Great Smooth Jazz, R&B, and Pop Tenor Saxophone Solos; and, Written Solos On Standard Tunes, Vol. 1. Jeff is an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Affiliated Artist and a Harvard University MLSP Instructor.

Steve Hunt (keyboards) has played with jazz and fusion greats Billy Cobham, Stanley Clarke, Angela Bofill, Allan Holdsworth, Freddy Hubbard, Gato Barbaira, Stanley Turentine, Ramsey Lewis, Kenny G, and Phillis Hyman while touring Japan, Israel, Austria, France, England, Italy, Sweden, Argentina, and Australia, the US and Canada. His recordings include Secrets, Wardencliff Tower, and Hard Hat Area with Alan Holdsworth; If This Bass Could Only Talk and East River Drive with Stanley Clarke and From Your Heart and Your Soul. Steve is an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

Christian Fabian (acoustic bass) is a member of the Lionel Hampton Big Band. Since 1997, he’s performed with Jon Hendricks, Jimmy Owens, Gary Burton, John La Porta, Elvin Jones, Ed Thigpen, Makoto Ozone, Chaka Khan, Bob Mintzer, Charlie Mariano, Rick Margitza, Gloria Gaynor, The Mike Longo Big Band, Claudio Roditi, Andy LaVerne and Danny Gottlieb. His recordings include Fabian Zone Trio, Curtain Of Life April, Across The Tracks. Christian is an Artist-in-Residence at the University of Massachusetts.

Steve Michaud (drums) has performed with Alan Holdsworth, David Hines, Lucas Picksford, Steve Hunt, among others. His recordings include Fabian Zone Trio, Nebula, Blown Fuse among others. A much in demand drummer in the greater Boston area and he is one of the finest drummers on the scene.
