Intimacy at its best

Jeff has been one of my YouToube favorites for some time. What grabbed me most was the intimate atmosphere of all his recordings and, of course, his amazing prowess as a guitar player. Archipelago is the quintessence of what makes him a great guitarist: his unique and oh-so cool style, the intimacy and dynamics of his songs and also his unassuming modesty. Speaking of intimacy: these songs are so personal that in "The 7th Sunset" you can even hear the birdsong outside his house. You will really feel like your are sitting in his room with the windows open and listen to him playing just for you.
Sound quality is also top notch -- you will be amazed how lovely and colorful one single guitar can sound if miked properly. Jeff can make his stringbox sing, cry, plead, demand, assert, soothe, console and a lot more, while always being entertaining, thought-provoking and a great listen just for the fun of it.
I am glad CDBaby gave me a small opportunity to support his music by buying Archipelago.
