In 1995 Jeff was a part of starting Point of Grace Church in the West Des Moines Holiday Inn, weeks later moving to Indian Hills Jr. High School, two and a half years later moved to Valley Southwoods Freshman High School and in 2004 moved into their first building in Waukee Iowa, a western suburb of Des Moines. As of 2006 Point of Grace Church has over 3000 attendees.
As a pastor and singer, Mullen’s high energy, R&B worship and positive message emphasizes the "goodness and grace of God" in the life of everyone. He believes anything is possible when we dream big enough to include God.

He has been married to his wife, Cathy, since 1989 and have two children together.
