Jeffrey Lilly is a gay poet whose work has been strongly influenced by the Beats. He is a former board member of The National Poetry Association which has presented performances by such poets as Allen Ginsberg, Adriennce Rich, Diane di Prima, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Haorld Norse, and Maya Angelou.

Jeffrey has an undergraduate degree from Duke University and Masters degrees in Russian Language and Literature and Comparative Literature from San Francisco State.

He is a coeditor with Jack Mueller of an anthology of work by writers and artists who have died of AIDS. The work is sponsored by The National Poetry Association and is in progress.

Jeffrey has recorded his poetry to the music of Hans Christian Reumschussel in "Promisd Land Poems," a work whose poetry is characterized by Lilly's lyrical voice wed to mystery and myth. Written poetry is with the CD.
