This cd is copyrighted 2006, but recorded in 1987. As such it is an interesting view of a fairly obscure group of (I assume) Bay Area improvisors. I have only heard of Raskin (ROVA) before, but all the players are very good. Obviously a band that worked/rehearsed a lot, as the impovisations sound very together and sensitive to the group dynamic. Check it out. Read more...
