Album Notes

Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan created his own melody to fit with the words of the Zikar, and the Sufi Movement feels it to be its most sacred duty to preserve that melody intact. Furthermore, the melody used by Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan does activate very specific vibrations that are in harmony with the Message in our time. Therefore, when singing that melody we are attuning ourselves to those vibrations, which answer the requirements of our modern world. What is more, this melody, which is composed on the Bhairavi raga, does have a very particular effect on the heart center.  It is certainly to be understood that out of love and devotion for our master, we feel so privileged to adopt this chosen method of doing the Zikar practice, to which every sincere seeker is welcome.
