The Jellyheads got together in 1993, when we met as students at the University of Surrey. Our music-making began as a series of experiments in the recording studio, but driven by its own absurd momentum it has continued percolating into the 21st century.
We sound a bit like The Orb, Orbital, Roy Orbison, Ozric Tentacles, Mogwai, Pink Floyd, The Cheeky Girls, The Flaming Lips, Led Zeppelin, Gong, Super Furry Animals and Steve Reich. Some of these are not true.
The core line-up is: Ben Holland (guitar); Rob Kelly (bass); Sam Wansborough (keyboards); Chris Hardman (drums); Dominic Cherry (percussion, keyboards, guitar, etc.); Richard Lewis (sonic manipulations).
The songs on this album have been carefully collated from our 15-year history, and feature a number of guest musicians and vocalists. They have been digitally remastered at a top London studio, and the CD is packaged in a deluxe full-colour limited edition Digipak.

Exceedingly Addictive
author: Elisse Kleiner
Less sing-along melodies, more trippy ostinatos that swirl around in your head and slowly warm you up like a lovely mug of hot chocolate on a cold London afternoon.
Some of the tracks (The Whistling Lofus) start off very mysteriously, and only after you\'ve been taken on a 3-minute ride do you find yourself in the midst of another complex tune that\'s managed to suck you in without you having realised. I love the voice at the start of that track - disturbingly reminds me of Paul McKenna\'s CDs of subconscious sermons with weird hypnotic background noise.
The album is very cosmic and all the tracks mature to become extremely yummy by the end. Filthy Mechanoid is too cool for school - it doubtless \'has the funk\' soothed by episodes of a cool minty breeze. See, that\'s the CD talking... Also in the favourite box are Organumatron and Lunatic Takeover.
A highly delicious album.
