Album Notes

Catching a Jelly Rollers show is a little like walking through the door of a Chicago blues joint in the 50’s, where the blues throws a party and folks come to dance. Starting as an acoustic duo, Darren Loucas(vocals/guitar) and Sean Divine (vocals/harmonica) plugged in and added the stellar rhythm section of bassist Jim Steffen and drummer Dan Weber to rock whatever stage they find themselves on. Deep Delta and Chicago blues are a launching pad for their live improvisations. Tight harmonies and dizzying guitar/harp interplay set them apart from the pack. Their jumpin’sound is authentic, super soulful and ALWAYS danceable.

"All in all one of the most unexpected and enjoyable listens I’ve had in a long time.”
-Bruce Iglauer, President, Alligator Records

with a degree of depth and maturity beyond their years.
