notes
"In my next life, I'm coming back with Jen Cohen's voice."
--Singer/Songwriter Janis Ian
"After 30 years of listening to music, Jen Cohen is one of the reasons I still enjoy coming to work everyday."
--Ken Gorka, The Bitter End, New York City
"Jen Cohen has an undeniable gift for finding great songs and delivering them with respect, passion, superb musicianship, and thoughtful interpretation. She's a songwriter's dream."
--Lydia Hutchinson, Editor, Performing Songwriter Magazine
"Her song selection is impeccable -- she is undoubtedly one of Nashville's most soulful pop stylists. One of my best bets for huge success!"
--Billy Block, Host/Western Beat Radio/WSIX Nashville
Straight from Nashville, the heart of American music, Jen Cohen is no stranger to the stage. Belting out a soulful mix of rockin' blues and countrified folk, she has become one of the most popular college entertainers in the country. With her backing band of experienced Nashville musicians, she struts her way through tender ballads and rollicking pop jams, bringing audiences to their feet with a show that is absolutely unforgettable.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Yale University, Jen finished school, immediately threw down her textbooks, hopped a ride to The Music City and grabbed a microphone. A popular fixture on the Nashville club scene, her focus on the pop and blues side of songwriting has created a large, loyal following. Her second CD Far Enough Away has been in the Tower Records Local Top 10 since it's release. Not bad, considering who her neighbors are!
Jen has created a stunning repertoire carefully chosen from the catalogs of Nashville's finest songwriters. That means she's got great material but it is her voice that demands attention. At once bluesy and tender, Jen's voice has a resonance that is striking. As legendary singer-songwriter Janis Ian has said, "In my next life, I'm coming back with Jen Cohen's voice."

author: Noelle FailleThis is one of those CD's I would buy again and again. (which I have, because I keep putting it in the stereo so my friends can hear it. They love it so much I end up giving them mine!) This is my favorite car trip CD that I can sing along with. No song goes unplayed.
wow! Jen is incredible. Buy it and anything else she has done!

author: CindyBe smart... take Janis Ian's words to heart and BUY THIS CD. Jen's interpretations of these songs strike a chord with me (no pun intended). Some of these songs I have heard before and didn't care for until I heard Jen sing them. I can't stop listening to it. One of the world's great unsigned (and probably under appreciated) voices. Favorite tracks are 1, 3 and 4.
I Love this album
