Jenica Rayne's music is uniquely her own. She is a passionate songwriter, accomplished guitarist and seasoned performer. Born in picturesque Prince Edward County, an island on the shores of Lake Ontario in Canada, Jenica comes from a long line of professional musicians. She studied jazz guitar and voice at Malaspina University College in Nanaimo, and officially released her first album, the critically-acclaimed 'Hall of Memories', in front of a sell-out crowd at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre in 1999. Jenica is a poet of consequence and an advocate of social and personal change. Imagine tossing the music of Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin, Ferron and Marianne Faithful into a pot and giving it a stir. The result would be a taste of Jenica Rayne.

author: Jess ShipmanThe first time I heard the CD Hall of Memories it brought me to a state of realization, the realization that the world wasn't perfect and nor was I. The powerful lyrics and the voice of wisdom seemed to be the thing I needed. From then on I have not put the cd down. Meant for people to enjoy? I think so....Keep that music flowing!

author: Dave ReidHall of Memories sounded great the first time I listened to it and just keeps getting better the more I listen to it. The musicians are great, Jenica's voice is perfect for her melodies and the lyrics are written from the heart. This CD remains one of my favorites.

Hall of Memories is a beautiful CD with poignant, thoughtful lyrics and a great sound. Jenica's voice is alluring and the music is memorable. My favorite tune is probably 'Get Up and Go' but I also love the more serious songs which play straight to the heart.

My favourite is Abstract Art and Ties. It is relaxing to listen to and the vocals are pure. It is really good! Listening live would be amazing.
