Jenica Rayne's music is uniquely her own. She is a passionate songwriter, accomplished guitarist and seasoned performer. Born in picturesque Prince Edward County, an island on the shores of Lake Ontario, Canada, Jenica comes from a long line of professional musicians. Having lived most of her adult life in Vancouver, Canada, she now calls Kingston, Ontario her home. She is a graduate of Malaspina University College's Jazz music program and has released three critically-acclaimed CD's: 'Hall of Memories' in 1999; 'Essential Elements' in 2004; and her most recent release 'Live Rayne' in 2007. Her music has been described as "both raw and brilliant... some gems are best left unpolished" (John P. Mclaughlin, Vancouver Province) and "poignantly crafted... embellished wit wry wit and wordly wisdom" (Barry Newman, Cosmic Debris Magazine).

    wow, this CD is in my cd player on constant rotation with a few other favorites. Great songs with a universal message. Love. Blue Skies Dreaming is among my favorites on this CD, but then there's The People's Time and I think the world needs to hear that one...

    Just when you think it can't get any better, Jenica Rayne comes out with a CD that is a journey from beginning to end; From the tracks that touch your soul to your funny bone, right through to the dance floor. Jenica's evocative lyrics and vocals move you from introspection to laughter to the dreaminess of the final track. This CD is wonderfully produced with solid musicianship from beginning to end.
