Album Notes

Multi-talented Jennifer Hart has been capturing hearts in Southern California since she settled there in 1990, after a decade of performing in jazz clubs, festivals and concerts throughout the United States, Scandinavia, Northern Europe and Singapore. She truly is an International talent, and has received the highest critical acclaim both here and abroad.

Her bluesy, torchy voice combines the luster of Billie Holiday and the mellowness of Sarah Vaughan. The Denver Magazine called Hart's music, "hot stuff, and when she sings her voice is so torchy, it's downright naughty."

Her repertoire is wide ranging from Duke Ellington to Elton John...from Fats Waller to Andrew Lloyd Weber. She is an accomplished vocalist who can sing in eight languages and who is also proficient on the piano and organ. Jennifer can make the room jump with a joyful uptempo beat, chill your spine with a raspy intimate ballad or create a hush with a tender love song.

Ms.Hart has been singing throughout the world with a variety of big bands, duos and trios and as a solo act since 1981. Between the years 1986-89, Jennifer divided her time between Colorado and Europe, performing and recording with the late internationally known bassist Red Mitchel, (a former member of Gerry Mulligan's quartet), and Swedish jazz pianist Jan Strinnholm. Her first album, FACES OF THE HeART, produced and arranged in Denver by popular jazz pianist, Rob Mullins, won her second place as "Best Vocalist" in the Colorado Composer's Classic Competition.

Currently she is the vocalist with the Frank Amoss Orchestra, Arlene and the Guys Big Band, Jazz Lite Octet and has performed several concerts with the Cypress Pops Orchestra and the Capistrano Valley Symphony. Audiences enjoy her upbeat entertainment in many clubs around the southern California area including Steamers and Kikuya Jazz Clubs, Chat Noir and Balboa Bay Club. Jennifer won the June monthly KLAC (Los Angeles area) radio FABULOUS FINDS CONTEST and will compete in 2005 for a recording contract.

Wherever and whatever songs she sings, Jennifer Hart's music is straight from the HEART!!!!!
