notes
Jennifer Pratt-Walter communicates her reverence for her instrument and music with her hands, searching to define and transcend human experience.
She has been performing since 1986, and has studied classical harp with renowned harpist Marion Fouse.
Jennifer has an extensive repertoire of Celtic, Early, contemporary, and light classical music, and is an avid arranger and composer.
Jennifer's professional recordings include her solo album "Ancient Realms," with soothing, healing pieces, "Wind and Wood," traditional Celtic selections from her duo "Celtic Muse" with Valerie Blessley, and "Merry & Bright," featuring old winter-theme tunes from "Celtic Muse."
Jennifer has garnered praise and prizes for harping and composing, winning the last two Advanced/Professional titles at the Pacific NW Scottish Harp Competitions, and the Sacred Oak Grove Eisteddfod in 2000.
In addition to playing her harp, Jennifer teaches, plays recorders, does Scottish Country Dancing, and volunteers healing music performance in the hospital setting.
She and music partner Val have been delighted to perform throughout the Pacific NW.
