notes
Jenny Kavanaugh grew up in south St Louis city singing traditional Irish music with her family. She left home for the bluesier sounds of Chicago, and now finds herself in Nashville and has, in her music, somehow made sense of it all.
With her debut CD, Jenny hits the scene with a brand of alt.country that draws from a pool of influences, including classic country, rock, folk, rockabilly, bluegrass and gospel. She has, in essence, developed a style all her own by pairing her voice with all the vastly different musical styles that have shaped her.

just when you think there is no feeling left in the world
author: steve trenklejenny:s voice shines like the warm glow of the porchlight your mom has left on for you, when you come home after being gone for a long time. the band supplies the electricity !
CD does not do the outlaws any justice to their live preformance
author: JasonThe CD is excelent, but their live preformance is spectaculiar. The first set is warm and fuzy. The second set however flat out kiss f#&king A#$.
Thoughtful and reflective
author: Julie KingI really enjoy listening to this music, especially The River. Reminds me of Roseanne Cash and Shawn colvin, mature with a feminine perspective on life. This artist is off to a great start and I look forward to future releases.
Nice... and solid
author: Bart H.I don't normally like this sort of music, because its not normally so honest. But just from the sound bytes alone, I will buy, recommend and PUSH this CD. CONGRATULATIONS JENNY KAVANAUGH!
Great CD and excellent band
author: Thomas BucklesThe entire CD is great. The singer's voice is sweet and soothing. She seems to sound like she really feels these songs. The other musicians are just as good, from the steady heartfelt sounds of the acoustic guitar to the near perfect beat of the drummer's drums. I love this CD and would recommend anyone looking for a great new sound to buy it right away!
This CD is a great find! Beautiful voice and smooth music.
author: Carol KenslerI enjoy listening to the easy and calming voice of this artist. She has a way with music that makes it enjoyable. What is it they say??? Words and music mesh.
This CD is amazingly wonderful -- great voice, great tunes!
author: Leigh ManalangThe mix of this particular CD is a masterpiece! It's a perfect blend of Jenny's beautiful voice and sweet music that makes anyone want to sing along. These original compositions are the best I've heard in a long time. A definite good buy.
