Jenny Lynn is from a small town in Northwest Tennessee. She started singing publicly at the age of five and has sung at many different venues such as: campaign dinners, charity fund raisers, church functions, the Kentucky Opry, county fairs, state fairs, festivals, parades, school assemblies, talent contests, car shows, beauty pageants, campgrounds. Jenny Lynn has been regular performer at Opry Mills and Rivergate Malls in Nashville. She also was a regular performer at Paducah's "After Dinner" program on Broadway in Paducah, Kentucky, in past summers and she also sang at the Mid-South Fair, Kentucky State Fair, West Tennessee State Fair. Jenny Lynn sang the National Anthem at Several Middle Tennessee State University sporting events and at Oxford Mississippi for Ole Miss basketball. She has been the weekly featured entertainment throughout the summer of 2003 and 2004 at the Opryland KOA campground in Nashville performing for thousands of tourist from all over the world. She has also done studio work at Atlantis Records (Nashville), Project Room (Nashville), Rodeo Drive (Jackson Tn), Ear Candy (Murray Ky.) and has been approached about recording a song for Universal South to possibly be used for a reality show. She has performed several writers nights at the world famous "BLUEBIRD CAFE'". She has also performed at such Nashville landmarks as The "NASHVILLE PALACE" and the "WILDHORSE". Jenny Lynn Melton and Band Opened for "AARON TIPPIN" at the 2004 Patriot Festival in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. Jenny Lynn has sung several times in the Smoky Mountains "Gatlinburg" Christmas and July 4th parades. She has had appearances with The "HAGAR BROTHERS" (Hee Haw) and "JIM ED BROWN" and "CHRIS CAGLE".
The Jenny Lynn Band won a package that included studio recording time at the True Value Country Showdown, which was used to record her first single, "It's All Over You". She has since recorded her cd "Stronger" which was released on "Horizon Records" in February 2004, wherein she wrote or co-wrote all the songs. The cd has had U.S. as well as European air play. This Cd is a blend of "Family Style New Country" and "Pop" and features "Bruce Watkins. Bruce is Dolly Parton's fiddle and mandolin player and "Alan Jackson's" studio guitar player.
In June of 2002 Jenny Lynn made her home in the Nashville area in pursuit of a singing career. Since that time she has been offered production contracts with Atlantis Records, Groove Records, Blacksmith Records, Hot Skillet Records and a Universal South subsidiary company. She has decided to go the indie route with recording and distribution.
Jenny Lynn is a member of BMI and the Nashville Songwriters Association. She performs "Clean Country" music for the entire family.
