From mellow to wailing, Jen's strong, earthy voice and heartfelt lyrics are both haunting and compelling, drawing from images of past and present love, heartache, and deep interaction with life's emotions.

Jen's debut recording, North Star, shows her wide range - from the pleading vocals and lush soundscape of "Why" to the simple and eloquent guitar-and-voice rendering of "Sense of You". "North Star", an intimate and moving "thank you," transports the listener to a place where he or she is looking up at the stars, as the wistful "Wine & Roses" and R&B-tinged "Real Lovin'" round out this collection of compelling, yet reflective, tracks.

Jen moved to San Francisco in the summer of 1997, after graduating from Cornell University, where she was the musical director (and album producer) for a successful co-ed acapella ensemble. She spent her first 2 years gigging and touring as a backup vocalist for such local acts as Buzz and singer/songwriter Chris Shot. Jen also did session work for artists such as former Santana percussionist Jorge Bermudez and Los Angeles producer/engineer Jerry Napier, and spent time in the studio recording her appearances on the 2000 Buzz album, Tell It Like It Is.

Most recently, Jen has been participating in songwriting workshops with critically acclaimed songwriter Bonnie Hayes, making progress (slowly but surely) on her first full-length CD, and doing session work for other Bay Area performers and songwriters. She's recently appeared at such San Francisco venues as the Tongue & Groove, The Canvas Cafe & Gallery, Tonic and others.
