Album Notes

Mix one part longing and one part hope with a dash of wry humor. Add to this guitar, mandolin, banjo, and double bass (plus, here and there, a tablespoon of electric crunch) and you have LONG FOR THIS WORLD, the new album by Jeremy Lloyd.

Recorded in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, LONG FOR THIS WORLD explores a variety of shapes and moods undulating along a current of rootsy lyricism. Call it folk with teeth.

A native of Western Pennsylvania, Jeremy has family in Alaska, was educated in Michigan and North Carolina, and now lives in Tennessee. By day he works as a naturalist and environmental educator inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park and has written an occasional essay or three about the experience. Songs, too. Check out his music. He'd love to hear from you.
