Tindersticks aflame
author: Angel Ramos
Great job. This harkens back to self-evicting vocals of Laundry and Vornado. Reminds me of Tindersticks. I've listened to Mr. Cortese's music for sometime and I am pleased that Casey Jones is back on track. If I can get more of this, I will gladly drone the Tuvan throat song of atonement from atop my Big Brown loser with duct-taped-hooves while tearing across the wind-torn Siberian steppes draggling by a lasso the remnants of my former saloon lifestyle. One request for a future Cortese project, say "Burying Myself:" drag down the lyrics even slower until your living inside of them.

Mick Harvey with a drum machine?
author: bervert
A very solid record with a 60's lounge/jazz vibe mixed with 80's goth/new nave. Catchy songs, quirky lyrics, deep vocals, simple production. Recommended with a bottle of cheap wine on a lonely night.
