Jess Durre` writes incredibly beautiful music, with feelings of peace. Her melodies are unforgettable and her words are honest and true, from the heart. Her music is untouched, and raw, however, not fitting into any specific category. Raised by a family of musicians, she quickly caught on and began writing songs at an early age. Actively involved in her school choir since she was twelve, she became recognized for having perfect pitch. She won several musicianship awards, and was also named Lead Soprano at the Regions III Music Festival during her senior year. Her songwriting ability won the ears of Grammy-award winning producer Scott Mathews of Hit or Myth Productions, and they recorded two tracks together in California. Originally from Alaska, she has been a finalist in the Youth Category of the Alaska Song of the Year in 2001 and 2002. She has also been given a four star rating on one of her songs by Loggins Promotion.
