ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jessy Greene, Minneapolis' multi-talented instrumentalist, releases her second solo album, "A Demon and Her Lovers". The record is full of infectious melodies, swelling harmonies, and heart-stopping string lines.

"A Demon and Her Lovers" chronicles Jessy's journey around the country and the world, as a woman whose life was likely saved by music. Jessy left her small hometown as a teenage runaway bound for L.A. and got into UCLA on the merit of her audition. She has since lived on both coasts and toured internationally as a musician, collaborating with some world-class talent.

Since the release of her first record, "Blue Sky", Jessy has played the violin with Wilco, Atmosphere, Soul Asylum, R.E.M., The Jayhawks, Romantica, Dessa of Doomtree and P.O.S. to name a few. She won a Minnesota Music Award for her work at this year's ceremony. On this record she is backed by members of Heiruspecs, some of the tightest and most highly trained hip-hop musicians in the Midwest.

Refreshing
This is a great CD, strong eclectic influences and provocative lyrics. I searched it out after hearing "Time Bomb" on Burn Notice--that only scratches the surface, every track is great and has several layers to it. Love it, love it, love it!

Jessy Greene hitting on all eight cylinders!
Jessy Greene's first CD was a poetic masterpiece that was clearly a first release by the Artist. Her second CD elevates her to full professional recording status. A Demon and Her Lovers is a completely professional work with a great sound. This was my "car CD" for over two weeks and I never tired of hearing it. Jessy Greene "knows Music", and her work is rich and complex. Highly recommended!!

A Demon and Her Lovers is an all around great sound. Something to chill to with a little up beat swing to keep you going. Fantastic CD.
