G. Lee
Singer/songwriter/guitarist G. Lee comes from a musical family and has been playing music her entire adult life. Her voice can be strong while at the same time delivering lyrics in an expressive, sensitive way. Her vocal style and quality have been described as somewhere between that of Bonnie Raitt and Lisa Loeb.
Pick your reference point; it doesn't really matter - G.'s sound is all her own. She and Peter Roubal formed Jet Blonde in 1999.
G. is always up for playing benefit shows as well: she organized and performed in PET ROCK, a benefit for the Humane Society three years in a row. She also performed in GRRRLFEST, a benefit for the GirlZone Organization.
Currently G. Lee performs live solo acoustic shows around Chicago, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Champaign, and nearby areas.

Not bad! "Hey Mikey, I like it"!

Nice! I gotta say G. Lee has quite the sexy, velvet voice! Now that I have this CD, I can tell you 4 sample tracks are not quite enough to offer proper grasp of the interesting variety here.
G. Lee and Jetblonde are everything they claim to be...pop-rock with musical influence from many directions... I hear things which remind me of Sheryl Crow, the Beatles, Carlos Santana and much more. From the sensual "I Will Escape" , the painfully beautiful "Anyway" , the smooth r&b of "I'll Make Time" , to the funky "Let It Rain" , their musicianship is top-notch and interesting, the songs are well-crafted, and the vocals are lovely. These folks should have a fine musical future ahead of them. I wish them the best of luck! Two thumbs and two toes up! -Gary P.
