“Supposed to Be” was produced by band members Angie Young and Adam McIntosh and definitely gives a fresh new perspective for bluegrass fans – especially on their original material. Angie Young wrote two songs including the title track, “Supposed to Be” and also the captivating a cappella song, “The Prayer.” Jon McIntosh also wrote two tunes, “Now I’m Through With You” and “Two Ships.” Other tracks include their fan favorite “Highway 40 Blues” written by Larry Cordle; “I’ll Be Back” written by Marla Cannon-Goodman, Ronnie Bowman and Buddy Cannon; “A Song for Life” by Rodney Crowell and many more.
Musicians on the CD include: Angie Young providing her stunning lead and harmony vocals; Adam McIntosh (banjo, guitar and lead and harmony vocals); Jon McIntosh (guitar and lead & harmony vocals); and Pearl Bradley (mandolin). Guest musicians on the album include Evan McGregor (fiddle) and Tim Kidd (bass). Just after the album was recorded, the band welcomed their newest band member - bass player, Gary Selby. Young said, “We are thrilled to have Gary on board as he brings a new dimension to our performances and our group as a whole.”
The group has been entertaining Bluegrass and Gospel music lovers in Ohio for the last four years, but due to recent fan and promoter requests, they are now accepting national tour dates. Previous performances include the Bellbrook Jamboree, Poppy Mountain Bluegrass Festival and more.
