At Last

Since 1993 when a friend living in MN introduced me to your "Here It Is" and your family's "The Steeles" I have been waiting to hear you again. This project is superb. The vocals, arrangements and just the pure soulful sound. Sorry I didn't think about searching for you before now. This is a treasure worth the wait.

I had the chance to enjoy the arts of Jevetta Steele as singer and actress live in Barcelona, when the musical "Bagdad Café" had its first representations. I visited the performance twice. This album is just amazing, brilliant and smooth sound at the same time. A rare and beautiful combination.

What a voice!

'Tis a pity to see some other jazz and soul singers praised and prosperous -- and not have Jevetta Steele among them. She is amazing -- I've been haunted for years by "Calling You" from Bagdad Cafe. This album disappoints only on one tiny point -- she talks occasionally during a song and I hate talking in songs -- my own personal quirk, I know.
Thank you, CD Baby, for the care and fanfare used to deliver my little CD to me. :-}
I'll be playing this at my book club meeting tonight -- good thing I bought an extra, 'cause someone is sure to want to take this music home with them.

I discovered Jevetta Steele after listening to and purchasing the soundtrack to the "The Gospel at Colonus". Her voice is utterly arresting, it stops me every time.
If you are undecided about purchasing this, take my advice, you wanted this CD and you wanted it yesterday!
