A very raw and honest album filled with passion and tenderness.  I like the intimacy of the acoustic guitar versions of these songs, it works great.  I think if you add a bit of variety to your songs, such as using a bridge, different instruments, changing key, different rhythms, riffs, and styles, you'd add a deeper dimension.  Your voice is beautiful and if you push yourself a little to add depth to your song writing, I think you can be the next Norah Jones!  Keep it up!!!!

Jevette has a good start with this CD but some variety is needed. Many of the tunes use a repetitiveness that after time, becomes dull. This takes away from the listener's ability to maintain interest, which is a must on a CD. Practice and honing those playing and writing skills will help.
And by the way, in the last sentence of your review, you wrote "their." The correct pronoun is "there."

For a first cd, a nice mix. Jevettes smooth music, clean guitar and sweet voice combine for a very nice listening experience. I'm turning my friends on to her and look forward to more original music.

This is my first CD so I rated my self a 3 because...well it's the first one and I have many more to come. I titled this CD "Everything begins with one" because in order to begin you must start with one and move forward from their.
