Album Notes

Infinite Soul Music's in house "sound provider" Jewels, makes his solo musical debut on The Self Outside Project. He describes the project as "a freely composed collage of soulful, hypnotic rhythms that stimulates your senses." Self Outside offers a unique blend of insightful, moving instrumentals, thought provoking hip-hop oratory, and cutting edge nu soul. This effort pushes the envelope of creativity while remaining squarely within the realm of authenticity.

Self Outside is the third commercial release and fourth project overall from Infinite Soul Music, the indie label that wrote the manuscript on artistic integrity. Prior projects include critically acclaimed releases from Sunz of Soul; The Situation and Anonamas; Truth Thru Fiction. Jewels manifesto keeps step with its predecessors by exploring new territory and as Jewels says "not being afraid to try something different. Upcoming projects include sophomore releases from Sunz of Soul and Anonamas and a solo project from Sunz of Soul's Blak Mamba.

It took me back to my college days, a nice ATCQ track playing in the background with everyone within listening distance nodding their head. Hypnotic beats, just the right BPM's, rhyming on time & you have a SOLID release. it would have been a CLASSIC if the wordsmen were a lil' more polished BUT it's still something to put in the rotation(6 disc, that is). Keep grinding......In spite of it all!!!

Excellent compilation from the sunz of soul/anonamas crew. They really have their own sound and style, but back it up with constructive lyrics and quality musicianship. Please keep on making the good music and I recommend anyone to invest their money in any CD this camp releases!!
