From Jewish Dave, the mastermind of the popular comedy-rap group Tha Polar Bear MC's (aka Tha Killa Korpse Gangstaz) comes a compilation of greatest hits from his 4 comedy-rap groups: Tha Polar Bear MC's, Tha Big Yummy, MC Randumb & Jewish Dave, and Fa-Cock-Ta, as well as some other suprises! This is easily the best comedy rap CD you will ever listen to. Standout tracks include "Coldplaya" and "Throw It Up" from Tha Big Yummy, "Nightmare" from MC Randumb & Jewish Dave, "We Be Shtoopin'" from Fa-Cock-Ta, and "Drop A Deuce (2006 Remix)" from Tha Polar Bear MC's.

Jewish Dave & Friends (Polar Bear Entertainment) is from the mind of David Rosen, who has recorded a number of hip-hop songs under various disguises, the most famous (or make that infamous) being Jewish Dave. He calls it comedy rap, which may or may not make some diehard hip-hop heads laugh, but upon listening to "Jewish Dave & Friends" it's obviously that this is parody and not someone mocking the music, lyrics, and its creators for the hell of it.
"Cash Quick" will definitely make fans of Mike Jones (who?) do a double take, with its tales of fast money, slow women, and hanging out at the barn. Hanging out at the barn? Oh yeah. What Jewish Dave and his friends do is something a lot of rappers rarely take time to do, and that is to use humor as a means to laugh at current trends in music. If Dave Chappelle does it, it might be seen as celebratory. For Jewish Dave one might make judgments in the other direction, but take a deep listen. On one end it is just as hilarious as 2 Live Jews or MC Paul Barman. Like Barman, Jewish Dave could actually compete with anyone on the charts if given a chance.
Rosen seems very knowledgable of the music and knows how to do it in a funny way. One can catch various references to J.J. Fad and N.W.A, and while he's shining the mirror on his favorite music, he's not afraid to make fun of himself. Naysayers may ask "has it really come to this?", but he is just as much a hip-hop prankster as Bobby James was in the 80's. Hip-hop comedy it is, and executed in a fine fashion.
