James West has been a driving force in the music scene around Kansas City for a long time. If there is such a thing as a local legend, he definitely qualifies. You can pretty much ask anyone in the church if they know Fuzzy and you typically get three words back.. “Brother can sang”. Not sing, mind you, sang. Ask any number of people around the city if they know of Fuzzy as a song stylist and performer and you get the same three words… Brother. Can. Sang.

James ‘Fuzzy’ West has performed as lead vocalist with many of the premiere show bands in K.C. including Mac Lace Band, SureFire, WestPoint and Unidos. He is presently burning down stages as the front man for The Seasoned Players. Fuzzy has also graced the stage with national and international artists including Earth, Wind and Fire, Patti Labelle, Oleta Adams, Alex Bugnon and old school staples including The Chi-Lites, The Floaters, Enchantment and The Temptations’ Ollie Woodson. Not bad company a’tall.

James West is an accomplished songwriter, producer and arranger. Working with long-time friend and co-producer Vernon Heard, they have hammered out a lot of songs and sounds over a 20+ year period. Their band Westpoint was one of the few bands in the country who worked local venues doing all original music and packing the crowds IN!!! Fuzzy has taken things a step further over the years and formed his event promotions and production company “I Love Music Productions”. James has worked diligently to bring quality performances and performers to the stage with shows that he manages from concept to concert.

As an artist, James’ main goal is “I’m ready to bring the best music that I can to the world..”. ‘Nough said James.
