Julie Gribble is currently working with many producers, including Dan Lavery of the grammy nominated band Tonic. Julie’s second record, “So Typical,” was released independently in June 2005. October 6th, 2005 Julie performed live on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS, in early November was interviewed on the Tyra Banks Show, and also on the Queer Edge with Jack E. Jett as a musical guest/interview on QTN. Currently, also she has been named one of the best new artists on KLOS 95.5fm local licks program 2004. 2005 has offered Julie the LA Music Award for Best Adult Alternative Artist and in the Music Connection Magazine on the list for Hot 100 Unsigned Bands as well as Top 25 Demo Critiques.. Tracks from her record have been on the Lifetime movie, Dive at Clauson’s Pier and on Nickelodeon shows. She is also working with new producers and talented songwriters, always looking for a great song. Gribble's music is lyric driven and smooth with sultry melodies that rock with her four piece band or solo.
Fans and industry alike are calling Julie's music 'real' and 'captivating'. Her knack for storytelling offers raw emotion and most importantly a way to relate with audience of all ages. Stage performances of Julie’s are sexy and emotional. Having lived in cities such as Atlanta, NYC, London and Los Angeles, Julie has no shortage of unique life experiences to reflect upon in her lyrics.
Julie, when asked about why she started writing music says, "I've been writing poetry since I was really young and always wanted to find a way to share it. The lyrics have always been such a huge part of my life, inside and out, a way to tell my story. Music has given me that opportunity to speak freely without limitations." Julie has been pushing her way into the college radio circuit and is gaining on the charts. The upcoming year, 2006, will offer her fans a new record by spring as well as an east coast and Midwest tour early summer, that will be endorsed by the Indie Storm Guitar Company, out of Ohio.

Simply fantastic. Julie's lyrics and vocals are mesmerising. Her songs are worlds. And she rocks. "So Typical" reminds me a little of Meredith Brooks, though Julie's music is so good I'm not sure who that flaters the most!! Please don't stop. Everyone - buy this CD (which sadly doesn't seem to be on sale here in UK).

Julie has mastered her craft. From the first time I heard her voice, I knew I would have to have the CD. Julie's vocals are strikigly similar to Natalie Merchant of the 10,000 Maniacs.....which I totally love. That is what hooked me in. Then the music and lyrics took over and sealed the deal. An awesome performer with flawless music and vocals.....who could ask for anything more. If your CD collection is filled with flawless performers, then you have to get this CD. Thank you Julie for sharing such great music.

I saw her play on the Late Late Show becuase I had randomly flipped channels. After that I went to her website to see what info I could find. The two tracks I checked were 'So Typical' and 'Hard to Say'; both were excellent. So I decided to take a chance and order the whole CD... no regrets. Better than I had expected. Usually I like only a few songs off any CD I purhase, but I don't skip a single track when I play this CD.
