Songwriter/artist/producer James George Serrett and co-producer Kirt Shearer realize the perfect blend of lyrical content, melody, and a performer's voice is crucial in making a listener relate to and enjoy a song. All of Serrett's songs reflect that, and the recurring universal themes within them of lost love, pain, guilt, regret, sadness, loneliness, betrayal, and abandonment ironically serve as positive cautionary tales for the listener and simultaneously calm, subtly instruct, and entertain them. He can break your heart (Just Close Your Eyes, She Had Her Moments, I Just Didn't Know, and I Miss Belonging To You) or rock the house(Give Me A Break, The Most Romantic Fool, and Do Not Take Candy From This Man). Just listen to the upbeat Dancing On The Moon or mindlessly catchy Wife/Girlfriend Song and you'll never get them out of your head! And unless you're recently deceased, there's going to be a tear rolling down your cheek at the end of Blindman In The Bleachers. Now if he could just stop marrying the wrong women and crashing his 325i BMW, he just might have a hell of a career ahead of him.
