Album Notes
This second EP CD release from homegrown instrumentalist-songwriter-producer J Gulli is a follow-up to his debut release "Into the Light" which was a musical offering of transition, growth, and inspiration within a smooth jazz-soul fusion package.

"Chillin in December" is an all instumental excursion about the sights and sounds of the Windy City experience and influence.

Gulli's contemporary new age-soul-jazz fusion delivers a breezy interpretational tribute to Chicago-born icon musician-producer, Quincy Jones on "A Tribute to Q" that exhibits a pupils careful attention to his idols musical style and texture that he weaves his own composition.

David Schultz of the North Lawndale Community News on the title track "Chillin in December" writes "an infectious steppers groove cut that is an instant crowd pleaser that deserves airplay and club sampling."Chicago Express" captures your imagination as to the frantic pace of the Windy City people, their attitude, and travels.

J Gulli's "Chillin in December" clearly shows the musical affection he has for his hometown and its people. And his keyboard wizardry is on point and considering he is the lone musician working on his computer generated instruments, there is a consistency with his fusion sound that warrants some attention as an artist on the rise with musical stamina within his production.

The Chillin in December track
I heard the "Chillin in December" track being play at a steppers set at 71st & the Dan Ryan. All the steppers came out on the dance floor. I got the information for your cd from the dj Reggie. keep up the good work.

Smooth, yet funky!
I like "Cat Chase". It's smooth, yet so funky you can smell it. Get some deodorant.

What a tribute!
Quincy's got to be proud. "A tribute to Q" definately captures the imagination. The vibes catch you by surprise and takes everything else along for the ride. It's groovin.

Can it get any better than this?
Awesome, its amazing how the music gets better and better. Congrats!!!

Digital Mixes!
Great music! But how can I find this cd digitally for my ipod? You've done it for your first release "Into the Light". Why not this one? Great instrumental music!

Very Professionally Done
A touch of jazz, a touch of class, call it what you want. This cd is great for all occasions. Steppers delight, lay back and groove, or just jam. Very professional. It's just a matter of time for you.
