Album Notes

The Jamie Hartford Band is hard to categorize, but one listen is all it takes to "get it." Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Jamie Hartford, Pat Bergeson on harmonica, Rick Lonow on drums, and bassist Dave Pomeroy combine elements of blues, rock, country and jazz into a unique and powerful blend of funky rhythms, growling vocals, fiery solos, and dynamic ensemble interplay.

"Stuff That Works", their new album on Earwave Records is "full of tough, smart, bluesy, smoky, rock 'n' roll", says music critic Peter Cooper. It was produced by Dave Pomeroy and includes guest appearances by Guy Clark, Pat McLaughlin, and Jon Randall, and is available at www.jamiehartfordband.com. The JHB has a hard earned reputation as "the funkiest, groovin-est basic no-nonsense band in Nashville", and the best is yet to come.

Somehow the widespread respect and attention this guy deserves has escaped him. Fortunately for us he hasn't gotten off track. Once again he delivers the goods with his signature country/blues/rock/jazz hybrid that never disappoints.
