Album Notes

My name is Jibril Serapis BEY - I was born in Toledo, Ohio, I started writting poetry & stories as early as I can remember. English & history was always my favorite classes. Writing 4 me has always been a therapy & a way 2 express & channel suppressed & contained energy or a disciplined form of controlling the emotions. As I (say) "We are connected like chains from the pain we exchange" But we channel da pain & keep da game...

1Luv-1Thugg; I started rhyming around 11 or 12yrs old. I was in a few groups but (KSG) is da only one I remember, which consisted of me, my best friend at da time; Komani & another brotha i went 2 junior high with named Sidney. I have so many rap stories & many dat escalated 2 brawls. I luv my life but would luv it much more if I were a complete success. I started going 2 different professional studios in high school.

I grew up the standard ghetto way of life, church, house parties, liqour, weed, guns, murder, drugs, secret indictments, snitchz, incarceration, & (allah). Now that I think about it there are some people out there who probably would be happy 2 see me make it out the gutter.

My music career intensified & developed rapidly once I relocated 2 Atlanta. So let me take this time 2 state the artist, people, music & things that most contributed 2 me as a human being & artist. MY city & all da hoods in it, Tony Jones & dat whole clique,Tony jackson,Kaspa,K & da laws, The Tripletts' & that whole family & everybody we chose 2 roll with. All da freedom fightahz as 4 Hip hop artist, First off I luv da game from da begining 2 now, but KRS1, RAKIM, LL Cool J, & Pac are my main influences. I am one who initially learned 2 guard uphold & improve myself through Pac, this albulm is a statement & affirmation of that. This albulm was recorded in 2000/01.

My next albulm will be a better overstanding about life, who I am, where I stand & where I plan 2 go. This album "Completion" I recorded much of, while at the original ThugMansion in Atl Ga. with Mother Afeni Shakur, I swear it seemed like the school of the gifted like in the Matrix, but I don't think they are aware of all that I learned just by being around. It's not like someone intentionally set me down & said these are yo' lessons I just peeped even if it hit me far down da road I still got da game & will continue 2 be blessed. Though I knew Kastro, it was his brotha Kenny Black who really put me down.

I cant really tell my story in this small page, besides my story isn't finished until I'm free. i would've been recording my next albulm, where the Tupac "Better Dayz" album release party was held & I performed, but the store has temporarily been closed 4 restructuring & rebirth so I am still a starven artist with no budget from the midwest Holla at yo' homie,be4 i blow!!! Even though I've been blessed 2b loved by da people Pac loved, 2 love those who he loved, 2b doubted & ridiculed, by the same people, 2 eat his mothers cooking, take care of his land, pray at his shrine, practice my rhymes looking at his platnium plaques,& now riden his old Caddilac, I still felt like I could neva rise above the hate from others or the hate of myself, but now i Know i can.

I spent my 25th B-day in Pacs house, the next day I peformed at the first Shakur family reunion. It took me a while 2 realize that I haft 2 believe in me regardless of what others may feel I can fight 4 me. I feel like a Michael Jackson be4 he made it, who who had close ties with Jackie Wilson, or Eddie Murphy under Richard Pryors fam be4 he blew. I learned 2 let go & 2 speak from my heart & 2 know if my heart is broken than I can say I have a heart & I must have the heart 2 fight 4 my right 2 be. To be happy with me but 2 strive 2 be the best that i can possibly be. I was giving the great opportunity,2act as legislative aide 2Rep."Able" Mable Thomas of 55th District,in ATL,Ga.From there I acted as HipHop liason, and advisor 2Congress Woman Cynthia Mckinney, who featured me in her film (American BlackOut). You can see me in the new DeadPrez/Outlawz video, featured on itube or the Official Noble,Outlaw,Myspace.
I also am involved with the Mutulu Shakur project entitled Dare 2 struggle which is a collection of artist who are mostly incarcerated. Pac planned to work alot with prisonrs, prisoners of war & political prisoners, Pac was very passionate on this topic & this albulm addresses that concern, it can be found at www.daretostruggle.com or www.mutulushakur.com
