Album Notes

The Jiles Band starts with its main creator Roland Venne. Roland was greatly influenced by his family who are Hank Williams Senior fanatic’s . He grew up on country music but rebelled with rock music. The album title comes from the Chinese zodiac. It was recorded by Todd Huckabone at Mole Man Studio. Todd may not be that well known but has worked and learned with none other than Joe Hardy (ZZTop , Steve Earle &Tom Cochrane to name a few of Joe’s credits). Todd plays with Graham Greer (former front man of the Barstool Phophets). He is a man of many talents and plays multiple instruments on this album. The drummer is Matt Babineau. Well known in the Ottawa area for playing with Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd Tribute Band). On this album we added a new element , lead Guitar by Tony Choy. We also have a guy by the name of Tyler Kealey playing keys on two of the more mellower songs (Still Loving You and True Friend). Richard Dodd mastered the album. You might not be familiar with the name but his credit’s speak for the themselves , Travelling Wilbury’s, Keith Urban and just recently for the Kings of Leon to name a few.
