Jim & Ashley Cash present original progressive folk-rock. The music of this husband and wife team is both environmentally and spiritually focused and offers a positive outlook on the challenges that currently face humanity.
Songwriter Jim Cash’s emotionally evocative songs—many of them allegories of today’s cultural and environmental issues—weave together threads of the mystical and spiritual. Vocalist Ashley Cash wraps her soulful and ethereal voice around life-affirming lyrics that inspire a greater sense of self and one’s connection with others. The two blend their talents to form a synergy of progressive original music that is interspersed with elements of folk, rock, and alternative.

Jim’s guitar playing is melodious, percussive, and vocal. His acoustic performances blend a rhythmic style similar to Dave Matthews with alternate tunings and fingerstyle techniques in the spirit of Michael Hedges. When Jim plays the electric guitar, his classic rock roots shine through and further highlight this talented musician’s versatility. His original compositions range from hypnotic and introspective to energetic and empowering.

Ashley brings Jim’s songs to life with a feminine voice that is both powerful and stirring. Inspired by such classic singers as Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, and Janis Joplin, she seamlessly integrates rock, pop, folk, and blues vocal styles to create a sound that is at once unique and uplifting. Ashley’s vocal range and control results in a voice that fills rooms and captivates audiences.
