The Formative Years
Many of Jim Blue's favorite childhood musical memories include classical, Broadway, and movie soundtrack music. When he was 12 he studied piano for several years.
When Jim was 15 he was inspired to study guitar and form his first band. At the age of 16 Jim wrote his first songs and recorded his first record.
Although his first band broke up when Jim was 18, he continued to play in various top 40 bands. During his 20's Jim played lead guitar and sang with highly popular bands touring the United States and even Japan.
Serious About Writing Music
As he approached the age of 30, Jim continued to play, but on a more part time basis so he could spend more time focusing on writing and recording his own music. Soon after, he built his own recording studio.
A decade later, Jim met Scott Turner, former director of music production for Imperial / Liberty and United Artists records which lead to Jim's collaboration with writers, producers, and publishers around the world. Jim wrote and recorded the theme song for a weekly variety show from Miami called "Hello" and continued to sharpen his songwriting craft.
Musical Transformation
In 1999 Jim was introduced to various types of music for creating a highly relaxing and pleasurable atmosphere. Jim was immersed in wonderfully ambient music. In 2003, he was inspired to record Crystal Blue Tranquility, a brilliant collection of mood-inspiring melodies and soundscapes for use in concert with any pleasurable activity such as relaxing, exchanging massage, sipping wine with a loved one, entertaining guests, or a romantic evening.
More than a year in the making, Crystal Blue Tranquility is a milestone musical achievement. The peaceful, nurturing, reflective music creates an ambiance of soothing serenity allowing you to completely unwind to the relaxing sounds of piano, violin, cello, flute, harp, guitar, piccolo, and choral harmonies.

In 2008 Jim released his new, groundbreaking CD "More Than A Dream" which includes 12 of his original compositions and features his vocal and guitar virtuosity.
