Pulse is relaxation music at its best. This one-hour disc is soothing, and calming. A perfect background for yoga, sleep or pre-sleep, massage, meditation, healing, pilates, reiki, shiatsu, tai chi or reflexology.

Pulse is best described as organic ambient chill music. The perfect companion for meditation and deep relaxation.


The music on Pulse combines gentle trance inducing rhythms, Japanese flutes called Shakuhatchi and Bansuri, chakra-tuned quartz crystal bowls, Native American Taos drum and gentle African drums.

Driving is not recommended while listening to Pulse. (Seriously)



About Jim Donovan
From 1990-2005, Jim Donovan was a founding member and driving force of the multi-platinum band, Rusted Root. With this CD "Pulse", he has released eight solo recordings ranging in style from relaxation and meditation music to world-infused electronica.

Fulfilling his desire to share the power of rhythm first hand, Donovan also teaches series of educational drumming workshops across the US and Europe at universities, festivals, schools, corporations, and specialty venues. He is also a full-time instructor of music at Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA.

In 2008, Donovan was named "Drum Circle Facilitator of the Year" by the readers of Drum! Magazine.
