Very listenable 70's to 2004 style folk pop. A triple threat artist, his cd is rich with his crystal clear acoustic guitar work beautiful solo vocals and wonderfully crafted song lyrics. Think Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Nora Jones.

Album Notes

Jim Farrell is a native of Washington D.C. He has performed his original songs in venues from New York City to the South Pacific and a zillion places in between.

He is also documentary film maker "Kitty Hawk to Computers", a poet "Floating Man", publisher of his own satirical newspaper "The Bullsheet" and an award winning actor.

He is currently working on a new CD to be released in the fall 0f 2004. His late Summer/Fall tour is in the planning stages.

Pure and calming with a beautiful sound fit for the live stage.

I think Jim Farrell has an eclectic and real sound.  I envision his style lending itself to a live musical stage production.  He needs no audio effects to mask the talent that he exudes.  It's refreshing and unique.  I would love to hear his writing, voice and guitar style travel along a thread of a particular story line.  Like a folksy Steven Sondheim.

As a former Music Director for a prominent public radio station I've had a plethora of CD's from budding singer/songwriters cross my desk.  Fallen Angels from Jim Farrell was an obvious standout.  His insightful lyrics, humor, dexterity as a guitarist and sense of melody are indeed refreshing.  A wonderful addition to anyone's collection.  My particular favorites are Power of a Dream, Hollywood Moon, Waiting For Alana, and It Ain't Easy Being God.  You won't be disappointed.
