Album Notes

This 66-minute CD is a collection of standard jazz songs performed mostly in front of live audiences over the span of about a year.

It speaks to the jazz connoisseur, the jazz lover and to all of us that need a break in our hectic workweek.

The CD is not so much about the musicians, but the music they play for the listener; it's mellow and it also sizzles.

I know you will like it.

Craig Buhler, sax:

Craig toured with the R&B band 'Honk' as an opening act for Chicago, Dizzy, The Beach Boys, Loggins and Messina and many others in the 70s.

Originally from Laguna Beach, CA, Craig now resides in Washington State where he teaches and performs.

Jim Fink, bass:

Playing electric bass since 1968, Jim switched to jazz in the mid 70s during his years at UC Berkeley, CA.

This CD project culminates his many years performing around San Francisco, London and recently the Seattle area with too many gifted and notable jazz musicians to list here.

Bob Woll, piano:

Truly a gifted pianist and composer, Bob is rather modest about his past, but his talents as a pianist are well known in NW jazz history.

Steve Macatee, drums:

Originally from New Jersey, Steve migrated to Seattle ten years ago.

He has a strong improvised feel in his drumming and percussion.

His engineering talents also helped propel this project to a reality.

It is the listener that is my most valued player.

It is you that is at the heart of what I do.

This music is for you.

You give this music life.

Thank you for being there.
