Turn it around is my 3rd CD. It is full of driving grooves with a positive, spiritual message. All original songs with the exception of "Swing Low, sweet chariot"...one of my favorite oldies. Old time religion meets rock and roll and rhythm and blues.
I enlist some of the best musicians on the planet to help me express these new songs. Come with me on this journey as we dig deep down into our souls. I hope you like it.

“Turn It Around”
Five Points ( Maximum)
A roots-album of special quality! The excellent variety of styles that singer, guitarist and songwriter Jim Gibson delivers, is hard to find! The journey begins with the perfectly produced “40 Days”, a great Santana-Latin-flavored song with magnificent solo-guitar, great vocals and a good melody -line. The following “Nothing Compares To Your Love” is a mid-tempo rocker which would suit even the E-Street Band fine. The Album shows also a lot of blues. There’s a song in the best Robert-Johnson-myth (“before You Deal With The Devil”) with excellent acoustic and electric slide guitar, as well as a classic guitar-blues-tune “Stand Up For Jesus”. One can hear some gospel too, with a great choir on “Lord Hear My Prayer” or with a singing slide and a sort of New -Orleans -feeling on “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”, which is the only cover song on the album. Gibson’s music comes with perfect instrumentation, there is also enough room for the Hammond B-3 and superb saxophones. But what impresses the most are Gibson’s great voice and his diversified songwriting. Highly recommended! Dietmar Hoscher

You just know "Turn It Around" came straight from the heart...
author: Blumen Young
I wasn't aware that TURN IT AROUND was a spiritual album, but I wasn't disappointed. Jim's lyrics are warm, comforting, and just what you need whenever you let yourself get caught up in this crazy world we're living in. The "bluesyness" will keep you entertained...The lyrics will keep you coming back...

God Must Be a BluesMan Cause He's Blessed This Singer
author: Mike Arnold
Gibson is a soul singer who finally tracked his sound and layed it down. Turn It Around is his first, hopefully not last, Blues/Gospel/Rock mix that is uplifting for the jammin' messages of a search for self understanding and forgiveness for being human.
40 Days In the Desert pleads for forgiveness from the hell we've created with our lives. Jim's Hendrix-like first licks on Swing Low, Sweet Chariot sets the listener up for a rollicking rock and roll rendition that you'll be singing along with over and over. Gibson's mix of solo and beautiful background singing on Lord, Hear My Prayer gives me a reason to pray twice singing for the Lord to help everyone in need.
The message in Stand Up For Jesus...or for Christ Sake, Sit Down says it all. Great CD. Highly recommended as a gift given to church youth ministries.
