Album Notes

I have been hooked on political and protest music all my Life...which makes me 62.
After teaching my roommate at Ohio State, Phil Ochs, the basics of folk guitar (not that hard), we began doing hoots and playing coffee houses around Columbus, first as the "Singing Socialists" which was fun and later as The "Sundowners" which was not.
If you ever heard of Jim and Jean, That was myself and Jean Ray when we were married and made 3 albums two of which, "Changes" and "People World" have just been re-issued on the "Collectors Choice" Label.

So why does an Old Folkie like me put out another record?
Playing music is what I like to do and with these critical and dangerous times we live in I want to keep singing to those who still have that dream of a better world and the long tradition of folk music as the most loyal voice to that is what keeps me going.

Peace, Jim Glover

I am working on a new album and it might be Outsider2.

The original may only be available in digital now if this goes through at CD BABY.

I am still active in the search for peace and Justice and have been making progress in investigating the Cover-Up of JFK and how it got us where we are today! Google "Jim Glover and JFK" for more.

Love, Jim

REVIEWS

This is a fine bunch of new and old protest songs

The theme is social commentary and good old (and new) protest songs. I'm An Old Voting Machine is a fine example of that. Pay Me My Money Down is hauntingly Seeger-like, as Jim accompanies himself on banjo, but updating the lyrics. Of course every album has that one song that resonates. On the Outsider (for me) it is Press On.
