Album Notes

A rich musical tapestry of melodic folk/rock/country/Americana, exploring themes of the California Gold Rush. A saga weaving stories of the California Gold Rush of 1849 and the "49ers", who risked life and happiness to find gold in the far-away land of California. There are mentions of the historic mining towns — Placerville, Sutter's Mill, San Francisco — and some of the famous characters of the Gold Rush. Tales of hope, struggle, suffering, love left behind, and the ever-present bugs make these characters vivid and real. Together the songs weave a story of a prospector who begins seeking wealth and learns some lessons about life's true wealth. The music is composed, arranged, and performed by award-winning songwriter Jimmi Accardi.
